News
PuppyGames have long been a favourite developer of mine. Indeed, Cas, the programmer and visionary behind their games has done much to help my own efforts (his work on LWJGL, his sharing of source code, etc.) So it’s very good to see that there are some new screenshots of Monster Mash up on his blog.
And more good news today, Fren-ze is now released. I’ve been following this game since I first learned of it (it was a PS2 demo on a British game magazine’s disk…) $5 is a steal of a deal, and I say that after paying but not yet playing. More on this after I have a chance to try it out.

Yeah this game is very well done I had been waiting like 2 months now. Good stuff. I just bought it. It’s good to see people that produce quality games for under 20 bucks.

Absolutely… I took a quick spin, and for $5 it’s very underpriced
Similarily with Cas’ games at Puppygames… just $10 and great as well. Shames the colour-matching clone makers charging $19.95.

I set apart some time for college studies, this game stole 2 hours of my study time. I got to the end of level 2 and got dominated. The only thing I despise is the enemies coming from behind, there should be a warning arrow perhaps. It’s a shame that the general video game community won’t get the depth of the geometry here.I wish people would get back to the roots of video games and play “games” rather than something that kills 4 hours of your day with limited interaction.

Sorry about your studies
It is a shame, some of the truly beautiful games out there will be largely ignored by the FPS mega-polygons crowd. To each their own, I’m just happy to have a new game to play around with.

Cheers for the heads up on Fren-ze, just had a quick blast of the demo before I go to bed and well, my hand slipped on the paypal button
For £3.88 it’d be rude not to, really…
Got something to look forward to tomorrow :=)

I hit the buy button right away as well… crackin’ good game too. Hard, but then again I generally suck at bullet hell games

Never let it be said I don’t repeat myself, Tim
@Bill, it is a bit tough isn’t it – just popped down for a brew and couldn’t resist a go before I go back up and barely scraped till the end of Level 1 before getting my posterior kindly returned on a silver platter by the boss.
Very impressed though, its so smooth and for want of a better word – incredibly polite the way it has you for breakfast without breaking into a sweat.

Oddbob, that’s a great way of putting it
I just might need to quote you on that.
