How To: Vector Pages Downloads
Update: Please see the updated version of this how to article here.
A lot of the Japanese games featured here are downloaded from Vector Pages. I remember my first few attempts at navigating a Vector link – I kept going around and around in circles. Here then is a pictorial guide to downloading from Vector.
The first image is a detail of the page usually linked to by the developer. There you’ll find a link to the “download” page, which presents you with some different download options (FTP, HTTP, etc.) The HTTP link is the one indicated on the second image, and after clicking on that you’ll be taken to a page similar to the third image. The download should start automatically after a few seconds.

Let me fill in a few more details. You’d need East Asian fonts installed to read this comment (and Vector pages for that matter).
「ダウンãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰ã€: “download”. Definitely one word worth remembering.
「フリーソフトã€: “free software” / “freeware”
「サãƒãƒ¼ãƒˆãƒšãƒ¼ã‚¸ã€: “support page”. Usually the author’s homepage.
「スクリーンショットã€: “screenshots”
「ç¾åœ¨ã€FILENAME.EXT をダウンãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰ã—ã¦ã„ã¾ã™ã€‚ã€: “Presently downloading FILENAME.EXT.”
「ã—ã°ã‚‰ãå¾…ã£ã¦ã‚‚ダウンãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰ãŒå§‹ã¾ã‚‰ãªã„å ´åˆã¯ã€: “In case the download does not start even after waiting for a while…
「ã“ã“をクリックã—ã¦ãã ã•ã„ã€: “Please click here”
