Efficient Bullet Rendering

Hornet600S has an excellent tutorial, Efficient Bullet Rendering Using Point-sprites and GLSL, posted at Shmup-Dev. Despite the terrible support in some graphics cards for what should be a simple OpenGL feature, the tutorial is an really nice introduction to GLSL, and it also shows off a few tricks that can be applied to other shaders.
