Cho Ren Sha 68K is one of the best free, old-school shmups around. The name translates to super continuous shooting, and you better keep pressing ‘Z‘ if you want to get anywhere. The game received a recent update so it’s worth downloading again if you haven’t already. Cho Ren Sha is classic shooting at its best: you get to shoot at everything, and you get to choose between powering up your weapon, shield or bombs. No bullet-curtains here, just directed shots and some cool patterns. The depth in this game is significant, you’ll be amazed by the variety of enemies and attacks.
