Update: Vector Pages Downloads
A lot of the Japanese games featured here are downloaded from Vector Pages. Here’s an updated how to post, to keep you from going around and around in circles. Here then is a pictorial guide to downloading from Vector. Note it’s still possible to get running around, especially if you succumb to the temptation to follow the path of the advertisements. This can only lead to sorrow, as you’re likely to end up buying something you’ll regret 
The link circled in the last image is in case the automatic download fails to start.
Also, from a comment in the last version of this, pixelizr offers this excellent bit of information (support in your browser for Japanese characters required, of course):

It’s way easier to just go to translate.google.com and access the site from there, although it takes a bit of the mystery out of stumbling upon random cool games.
