G-Force
Oddbob sent me an advance copy of G-Force to try out, and I have to say it’s a lot of fun. It’s a really well-done remake of the Spectrum classic of the same name. It’s still under development, and currently collisions with your ship are handled by the “honour system”, but I can tell it’s going to be great for a quick, shooty fix. As always, the screenshots don’t do the game justice. The level transitions need to be seen in motion.

[...] Over at his excellent blog, Oddbob has announced a demo of G-Force. I took the game for a spin the other day, and it’s getting better with each build. I do not do well at Tempest games on a PC because I can’t seem to work my head around the rotation and change of relative direction that keyboard controls necessitate. That’s why I like the original G-Force and this remake. Well, that and because it’s a ton of fun, with bright visuals and big explosions. More information in this thread. Download the demo here. [...]
