Stra?e Neun
Stra?e Neun, or GunArms, has recently been released as free software. It’s a run ‘n gun with giant mecha robots and plenty of weapons, so chances are it’s pretty good 
It’s a Vector download.
It took awhile to figure out exactly how the controls work, but here’s what I know: Left and right arrows to move, with up and down arrows adjusting your shooting angle. A double tap left or right and you’ll move faster. ‘Z‘ is for distance weapons, like machine guns or rockets, while ‘C‘ is for close in fighting, like a big drill or a pile-driver. Both weapons are also used to destroy barriers and boxes (which often contain powerups).
You’ll also need to use your rocket boosters, for moving up to different floors in the levels. This took me awhile to figure out. The control key is used to fire your boosters, enough for a quick jump over an obstacle. In order to move up a floor, you’ll need to hold ‘S‘, then ignite your boosters with control. This gives you enough of a burn, indicated by the blue guage on the side, to reach the next floor.
Stra?e Neun is quite fun, half of which is figuring out what to do. Via Danmaku Gata.
